The proven 3.5mm jack disappears more and more cell phones, many of which have become obsolete. We show you six Bluetooth models in the price range from 50 to 300 euros, with which you can enjoy your music and wireless audio books. Some even have hands-free calls.

If you have a smartphone without a headphone jack, there are currently only two options left: either you have a dongle or adapter, are available in USB-C and Lightning, or you can start using it. Bluetooth technology. The range of wireless headsets is of course now huge, and they differ in their shape and price partly drastically. Below you will find a brief overview of the different models.

Bluetooth headset with strap

They are veterans of wireless headsets and have existed since the beginning of the standard Bluetooth transmission: Bluetooth headsets with supports. If you have a budget of about 300 euros, you can buy the Bose Quiet Comfort Wireless, for example. The model has convinced the trade press as well as many critics. The strong point here is the active noise reduction, which allows you to reproduce the music without being disturbed, even in a noisy environment like a train. Due to the long battery life and the convincing sound quality, there is virtually nothing to suspend the headset; only the price is quite high.

You get the JBL E65BTNC for about half of its price. In addition, this model offers active noise suppression (ANC) as well as a decent sound, which convinced the testers of our partner CHIP.de. In the price range around 150 euros, headphones are really worth a look.

If you do not want to go without equipment on a budget, you should take a closer look at the TaoTronics TT-BH22 Bluetooth headset. Here, there are the same characteristics as the two more expensive models, but in a slightly lower quality. Nevertheless, for less than 65 euros, headphones from China in terms of price-quality ratio are almost unbeatable.

Bluetooth earphones at the Apple AirPods

The wireless headphones, so compact models without supports, enjoy a great popularity, especially with travelers. Among the pioneers in this field, there was Apple with the AirPod (controversial). These headphones generally sound worse than models with similar media, the battery lasts less and are not really cheap considering their size. But they weigh much less and are therefore generally more comfortable to wear. In terms of design, the ghosts are different: on the one hand, the models look like a cordless toothbrush head, on the other famous Apple's latest innovation in design. For 150 euros, you have to buy headphones.

A real alternative to the Apple AirPod should therefore not include a cable connecting the two handsets. The TicPods Free of Chinese company Mobvoi offer just that and beyond the reduction of noise and touch control. Nevertheless, the alternative costs a little cheaper at 130 euros. In terms of design, they are still based on the original. The similarity does not stop there: even the moderate sound quality shares the TicPods Free (unfortunately) with the AirPods.

The RHA MA390 in-ear headphones are an economical alternative to cables between handsets. The cable connection, for example, offers more space for a more durable battery. The headphones offer a lot of what the AirPods offer, but without the completely wireless design. The big plus is the price: with 60 euros, you are much cheaper than the Apple product.
