In recent weeks in Austria, a return of Martin Gastinger on television has been announced. The former CEO of ATV would have been interested in the position of Head of Entertainment on ORF. This post must be filled again, because with Edgar Böhm, the current entertainment boss of the ORF is retiring (DWDL.de reported). Gastinger returns, but not to the ORF. Instead, he becomes responsible for entertainment on ServusTV.

Corresponding reports in Austrian newspapers, confirmed the transmitter Monday afternoon at DWDL.de. Gastinger will take office on December 1st. A change in the ORF is therefore discarded. In public broadcasting, he had only external opportunities anyway. For more information, we do not wish to publish additional information about the Gastinger order.

It is clear that ServusTV was not the channel of clbadic entertainment programs. With "Quizmaster", the program contains a very successful eve. In addition, the sport of the Red Bull estate and nature is highly valued. Recently, they have invested more in their own series of fiction such as "Trakehner blood" ("Gestüt Hochstetten") and "Meiberger". It now seems that ServusTV wants to reinforce clbadical entertainment. This might seem, but the issuer will probably only betray the next year.

Under the direction of Gastinger, ATV has developed numerous docusoap shares and has also sold them to Germany. Formats such as "Teenage Girls Become Mothers" and "Saturday Night Fever – How to Celebrate Austrian Youth" were created under her responsibility. With "Vienna – Day & Night", Gastinger also showed courage and tried to reject the success of RTL II soap – and failed with a crash. Nevertheless, he was the first boss of an Austrian private broadcaster to dare to work on a daily fiction format. In 2007, he joined the program as a program director before becoming general manager in 2013. When ProSiebenSat.1Puls4 took over ATV last year, Gastinger had to leave.
