Genoa offers to host the Copa Libertadores

The Italian port of Genoa has offered to host the last return match of the South African Copa Libertadores between River Plate and Boca Juniors. They made contact with the two football clubs in Buenos Aires, the newspaper said Monday. The links between Genoa and the Argentine capital are important, headed the city government. The emigrants from Genoa have therefore founded both clubs.

The final leg between rivals River and Boca took place Saturday after strong riots outside the stadium, which had been moved Sunday and then canceled.
