It seems to work on Amazon on a 100-page printed catalog, which should be both sent and distributed by hand, as reported by Bloomberg, citing people familiar with Amazon issues. The catalogs must be mailed and distributed to customers in "Whole Foods" supermarkets owned by the Amazon.
The new mega-catalogs used in Germany and Europe are not yet known – Amazon has not yet made a statement on Bloomberg's possible print-on-demand media.
In Germany, the traditional IKEA catalog in living rooms often has a special status. It would be exciting to see if the Amazon catalog could threaten the supremacy of the Billy and Co. shelves. With about 20 million "unique users" of Amazon in Germany, it would not be a surprise.
