Mean! Whatsapp gets new features, but not everyone can use them

[ad_1]

Whatsapp is currently working on many new features. After the Dark and Vacation modes, it was revealed that Whatsapp was developing a feature designed to improve application security and protect users' privacy.

Whatsapp will soon support "Touch-ID" and "Face-ID"

According to the technical blog "Wabetainfo", the email application will soon be encrypted. As for the encryption of the smartphone itself, it should be possible to activate the "Touch-ID" via the privacy settings of Whatsapp.

Whatsapp can then be opened only with the stored fingerprint. If this is not recognized, the application asks for the pbadword of the mobile phone. This ensures that no one else than you can read Whatsapp chats or write messages.

New feature initially only for iPhones

Unfortunately, there is apparently a small limitation for the new feature because at the moment it is only meant for the iPhone. And again, the feature is only available for models with fingerprint sensor and running at least with the iOS 8 operating system. If you have an iPhone X, Xs, Xs Max or Xr, Whatsapp will also use in the future also "Facial identity" for facial recognition to lock.

But users still need to be patient, the feature is currently in an early development phase, according to "Wabetainfo". But there are already the first user tests. Nothing currently indicates that this feature is also being developed for Android smartphones.
