NASA Video: Astronauts Test SpaceX Dragon Crew

NASA astronauts will soon fly into space aboard a space capsule. Now they have become familiar with the orders and space suits of the company.

How good is the SpaceX Space Suit of the Dragon V2 Space Capsule – also known as Crew Dragon – are the visor and visor displays legible and can you move anywhere? The two NASA astronauts, Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley, will have to answer these and many other questions during the first tests of the new spacecraft. After all, the vehicle has been completely redesigned by the engineers – and has little in common with the space shuttle or the Russian Soyuz. Nevertheless, astronauts must immediately understand and master the Dragon V2. Already in June 2019, they should make their first flight.

NASA exercises, documented in a short video, not only serve to balance the usability of the spacecraft, but also to test the portability of SpaceX designed flight combinations. Combinations, according to Elon Musk, developed both on functionality and on the elegant appearance, must be worn during the flight with the capsule. They protect the user from heat, cold and possible pressure loss. But they are not intended for outdoor use.
