New HomePod competition: Samsung Smart Speaker in August?

Almost all tech giants have launched their own smart speaker on the market. Amazon with echo, Google a Google Home and Apple HomePod is now available in Germany. But one of the biggest competitors of Apple, at least in the smartphone market, is Samsung. It has long been puzzled if and when South Korea's tech company would bring a similar product to the market, now there are new rumors. Samsung can introduce its internal smart speaker called "Lux" in August.

It seems that "Lux" will be mainly targeted at customers who are also the target audience of Apple. This means that Samsung will probably introduce a high-end product, which is in direct competition with the Apple HomePod. One of the great advantages of the Apple Smart Speaker is the great sound quality that is unmatched by a comparable product.

That's exactly what could change with the introduction of Samsung's "Lux". Because even the South Korean tech giant would like to focus on sound quality. One possible reason for this is that Samsung, like Apple, might be lagging behind the quality of the language badistant. In the past, there were often professionals who criticized the "Bixby" language badistant for the lack of poorly implemented features or functionality. It remains to be seen if Samsung will be able to recharge in this area until the release of "Lux".
