"Taking a single dose of Xofluza can dramatically reduce the symptoms of the flu," says Sandra Horning, Roche product development manager at SonntagsBlick. The active ingredient, baloxavir, can destroy a wide range of strains of virus and stop the spread of the virus.
However, the miracle pill is not very cheap. It is therefore to be expected that the single application in the United States will cost about $ 150. By 1999, Roche had launched a similar flu medicine, Tamiflu.
