Director Susanna Nicchiarelli does not show his career but what the alcohol and the heroine Nico did. And she does it very soberly and insistently. It is only from time to time that she interrupts the original recordings. The Danish actress Trine Dyrholm perfectly matches the dark and formidable tone of Nico when performing songs like "My Heart is Empty". An intense and melancholy film. (sin)
