The Chinese manufacturer Oppo did that yesterday RX17 Pro and RX17 Neo officially presented in Italy. The two smartphones will go on sale from November 16, 2018 in Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. The RX17 Neo beats at 349 euros and the RX17 Pro at 599 euros.

Visually, the two smartphones are very similar and yes, they also look strong after the OnePlus 6T. Why this? OnePlus and Oppo ultimately belong to BBK Electronics. Under the hood, there are significant differences between the Pro and Neo models. Let's look at who are.

The RX17 Neo has just "installed" the Snapdragon 660-SoC in combination with 4GB of RAM under the hood. The Pro model relies on the Snapdragon 710 SoC flanked by 8GB of RAM. The internal storage space is 128 GB – with both models. The 6.41-inch OLED screen with FHD + resolution is also identical.

On the back of the two smartphones, a dual camera is installed, but technically different. The cheaper Neo model has a 16 MP sensor with f / 1.7 aperture and a 2 MP sensor for depth information. In the Pro model, there is a 12 megapixel main camera with variable aperture (f / 1.5 and f / 2.4) and a 20 MP secondary sensor with f / 2.6 aperture.

The battery has a capacity of 3,600 mAh, 100 mAh less than the Pro model. A fingerprint sensor is installed on both devices. This is particularly commendable for the relatively inexpensive smartphone with 349 euros. Otherwise, the device will probably also be delivered in Europe with ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8 Oreo.
