The emptiness of which we will speak soon, it is populated. In the shadow, silhouettes of sound beat, whisper, gesture, gurgling: it is the exit of the underground world. The "desire" of Beat Furrer begins in the form of a hidden object that rings. In this musical play presented in Graz in 2001, ancient texts relating to the myth of Ovid and Vergil of Orpheus combine with their modern echoes: by Hermann Broch, Cesare Pavese and Günter Eich. There is more conventional and continuous action, but waves and farewell spirals overlap between Orpheus and Eurydice, who, of course, are no longer there; the sound palette exploits almost everything up to the sound of breathing
