The house where the legendary Peter Alexander lived until his death in 2011 was demolished. This is reported by the ORF. It was empty since the sale of the property in 2015.
The construction police confirmed to the ORF that the demolition had begun on June 15th. When the controversial amendment to the Building By – law came into force on July 1, the house was already completely demolished.
Alexander's completely retired to his area of 1,500 square meters in the years before his death. The 300 square meter Grinzing mansion has hosted the artist and his family for almost three decades.
