A wooden doll whose nose lengthens longer? That's Pinocchio – and if the maker of "Labyrinth Pans", Guillermo del Toro, cares about the daring, this should be more than worthy of interest. At least that's what Netflix has promised.

His first film project after his Oscar leads director Guillermo del Toro to the Netflix streaming service. Del Toro will produce the clbadic "Pinocchio" as an animated film for the band, as announced by Netflix. His version of the story of the resuscitated wooden puppet must be told in the form of a musical and played in Italy in the thirties.

Del Toro and Netflix are already working together on various projects, including a series of horror films "10 After Midnight". Previously, del Toro was known with films like "Pan's Labyrinth", "The Devil's Backbone" or "Hellboy", especially in the field of fantasy.

The Mexican director won the Oscar for best film and best director in the spring with his fantasy novel "Shape of Water". Work on "Pinocchio" should begin this year. When the movie is out is still open.
