Biblical figures instead of Pokémon – Pope is a fan
The Vatican publishes Follow JC GO. The game works a bit like Pokemon GO. Only responsible developers exchange pocket monsters for biblical characters and send you to hunt for saints. The weird game should not only entertain you, but also bring knowledge and acquire gifts.
For some, this may sound like a bad April fool, but "Follow JC GO" is actually an official Vatican game. In terms of the game, the developers responsible for the Catholic group Fundación Ramón Pané, Inc. were guided by Pokémon GO, but in "Follow JC GO", you do not pursue Pokémon, but saints, as you can see in the band – announcement above.
The game takes place on a real-world GPS map and you have to move your cell phone around the streets to find the Bible characters in the mobile game. Have you found a saint, but you can not catch it immediately, but you must first answer various questions of knowledge about the figure. The game is supposed to give you a little tutoring in religion.
In addition, you must keep an eye on your character and control values such as diet or prayers. If you answered all the questions of a saint, join him, your "e-team". You can also buy a currency in the game for real money, called "Denarios". The product should be given to a good cause.

Apparently, the game already has at least one prominent fan, namely the head of the Catholic Church himself. Ricardo Gronza, managing director of Fundación Ramón Pané, Inc., told the Catholic information website Crux Now that the pope had shown interest in combining technology and evangelism.
If you want to convince yourself of the game, you can download "Follow JC GO" on the App Store to read it on your iOS device. Alternatively, you can also download "Follow JC GO" on the Google Play Store, for Android systems. The game is free at startup, but requires at least the iOS version 8.0 or later, or at least the Android version 4.3. The software is currently available only in Spanish.
