Popfest: Here are the highlights of the program – Wieden

Kreisky, Naked Lunch and Mavi Phoenix perform on Karlsplatz, free admission.

INNER CITY / WIEDEN. For the ninth time, the popular Popfest on Karlsplatz will be open from 26 to 29 July. About sixty local musical acts are presented free of charge in various places of the Karlskirche. In addition to the maritime scene in front of the Karlskirche, the Vienna Museum, the Technical University and, this year, a new hall, the Akzent Theater will also be presented. For the program this year, curators, music journalist Katharina Seidler and musician Nino Mandl, better known as "The Nino from Vienna", are responsible.

Thursday, July 26 :

The opening night on the "Seebühne" in front of the Karlskirche contest the Indian pioneers of native rock Naked Lunch with a special guest Gustav s owie the musicians rock garage of Dives . The singer and rapper R & B Mavi Phoenix concludes the first day outdoors in front of the Karlskirche. Visiting the decision between Paul Plut at 23:00 hours at the Wien Museum as well as HEARTS HEARTS (23:30 hours) in the Kuppelsaal TU could be difficult.

Friday 27. July :

Friday lies with Kreisky Aivery Ash My Love and Paul's Jets in the skirt sign. On the Red Bull Music Stage, budding musicians play Schapka and at 00:00 the multilingual rapper AliceD is still honored in the Prechtlsaal.

Saturday, July 28 :

Hip-Hop is Saturday with Kroko Jack Kreiml & Samurai and EsRap have announced . There are also new names to discover on the local music scene, such as the accordionist Alicia Edelweiss the Viennese songwriter Felix Kramer . And: Song-Contest-Participant Tony Wegas appears Saturday at 4 pm at the Wien Museum and represents Good Fail.

Sunday, July 29 :

To bring cello Lukas Lauermann Popperin Stuffing Electric violin Battle-Ax and sound artist Andreas Spechtl Pop in its most beautiful varieties where you do not necessarily suspect it: in the Baroque Karlskirche. Among others, the Viennese Complaints Choir explores Rudelsudern and Stefanie Sargnagel the interfaces between lyrics and lyric poetry.

On weekends, the Viennese label and the vinyl market take place from 11 (Saturday) or 12 (Sunday) until 6 pm at the Wien Museum.
