With Firefox Rocket, Mozilla had released an Android browser, which needed to navigate quickly with a small file size and low data consumption on the Internet. Originally, the application was available only in Indonesia. With version 3.0, Firefox Rocket was also available in three other countries: India, Thailand and the Philippines.
There is now a restart of the project: the light browser now listens to the name "Firefox Lite". This and the fact that the default links no longer only concern Indonesian websites, but among others on Amazon and YouTube, indicates an early exit of the browser also outside Asia. Although Mozilla already offers a lightweight browser with "Firefox Klar", "Firefox Lite" offers many more features and the "turbo mode" the ability to back up mobile data. The application is, according to its name, very small and therefore occupies little space.
Nevertheless, "Firefox Lite" offers all the features you need. Tab navigation, private mode, bookmarks and history. Special features are the screen capture function, which saves the entire page and the new night mode, which darkens the display. Nice: the home page then displays a night sky with stars. The color of the start page can also be changed by pressing twice.
Although the reorientation of the browser suggests a rapid global launch, German users must continue to be patient, because the application in this country is not yet available in the "Google Play Store". With us, you already get the APK file and can also use the browser.
