The Salzburg Festival 2019 aims to take a fresh look at the ancient myths, which will take place from 20 July to 31 August. For the 199 performances, 237,614 cards were placed in a price range from 5 to 440 euros.
The official premiere will take place on 27 July in "Idomeneo" of the Felsenreitschule Mozart, for which the duo director / conductor Peter Sellars and Teodor Currentzis will meet in Salzburg, which had already inspired in 2017 with his "Clemenza di Tito". George Enescu's "Oedipus" dates back to 1936. He was created on August 11 at the Felsenreitschule.
