Last year, the British luxury group Burberry destroyed fashion and unsold cosmetics worth £ 28.6m (€ 32.1m) to protect the value of its Mark. The company, which is known for its raincoats and check patterns on Thursday, said it had "meticulous procedures to reduce the amount of excess stock."

When "throwing away" goods is required, it is done "responsibly". The company continues to look for ways to minimize waste or create new products. Among the destroyed goods were therefore only cosmetic products worth 10.4 million pounds.

Burberry, according to their own information, each year caused great losses by stolen or fake and sold at discounted prices of branded products. In May, the fashion house announced a 29% annual surplus of £ 294 million for the 2017/18 fiscal year closed in March. (AFP / apa / red)
