The Federal Constitutional Court rejected several constitutional appeals against seizure, as they were communicated today in Karlsruhe. The Volkswagen AG was neither in its right to informational self-determination, nor in its right to a fair trial violated, it was a justification.

The dispute concerns data and files seized in March 2017 during a search in the Munich offices of the law firm Jones Day. This law firm is working on the exhaust gas scandal for the domestic automaker.
