An empty room, only you and the "Mona Lisa". Virtually impossible in your reality because you have to share the place in front of the world famous works of art with hundreds of other tourists, all of whom want to have a glimpse of it. Would you be called Beyoncé or Jay-Z: no problem.
For the filming of the single "Apeshit", the two musicians rented the Louvre in Paris in addition. Today, the Paris Museum offers interested fans the opportunity to walk on the paths of the stars and to visit the original filming location themselves.
World-famous art, but only explained in French
17 works of art are part of the 90-minute leadership. Alongside Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa", there is also "The Raft of the Jellyfish" by Théodore Géricault and the "Nike de Samothrace", a Greek sculpture representing the goddess of the Nike victory. And this is only a small selection of works of art that we can see in the music video and therefore in the guide.
A disadvantage is the modern visit of the museum rich in tradition: until now, it is only offered in French – on Wednesdays By the way: Why did the couple choose the Louvre for the filming of " Apeshit "? We really did not understand either, in the lyrics we did not find any clue. With the video, however, the couple wants to show how few black people can be found in the museum's works – at least the "Vogue" writes. Incidentally, the world star Beyoncé wants to seize the opportunity to revive the museums of art history for video with her outfits.
