The study speaks of "decade of extremes" from 2020

MUNICH. The international management consulting firm Bain & Company predicts a lasting phase of mbadive economic and political upheaval in their current study.

The 2020s could become a decade of extremes: workers would miss at the beginning of the decade. According to the study, the number of people employed in the United States will increase only very little and it will decline even in Western Europe.

In order to make up for the deficit in the labor market, companies will invest more and more in new technologies. As demand increases much more slowly than the production potential, jobs will be lost.

Only 20% of the workforce will benefit from digitization. The wages of sufficiently qualified people should increase sharply. On the other hand, the enlarged middle clbad is likely to be under increasing pressure. The inequality of income and wealth that already exists today will continue to increase, according to Mr. Bain. The growing number of pensioners, who must be maintained by fewer and fewer workers, could also lead to funding problems in the social system
