Fallout 76 mods

A few hours after the launch of the beta version of PC, there are already the first mods Fallout 76 on the net. Already on the E3 has been officially confirmed that the game will support the mods. This may also be due to the fact that its predecessor, Fallout 4, has been greatly enhanced by the multiplicity of partially creative and partly useful mods.

It goes quickly

It seems a little surprising at first sight that the first mods of Fallout 76 are already circulating on the Internet. Although Bethesda has officially announced support for Mods, he said following the Los Angeles E3 that it will not be implemented until its release. Players should have "their own world" made available in which they can live with all kinds of mods.

Changes in textures

Now, however, experienced modders have noticed that the game's core is identical to the predecessor and that the game's resources are compressed in the same way. The moders now use the Archive2 program to modify the archives. Archive2 is part of the Fallout 4 Creative Kit. Until further notice, changes are limited to cosmetic changes to textures. These can only be seen by the player himself and not by other players on the server. Changes in physics can not (yet?) Be done.

Resistance to the horizon?

The question remains whether these unofficial mods can last a long time. For cosmetic changes to the skin, Bethesda plans to create its own gaming shop with microtransactions. We're curious about how the moddors scene will evolve in Fallout 76. If your PC is powerful enough for Fallout 76, we'll tell you that here.
