Palo Alto, Calif. (APA / Reuters) – Electric car manufacturer Tesla needs to meet the US Securities and Exchange Commission's production forecast for promising model 3. The company has been subpoenaed by the Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC), said Friday Tesla.

The dazzling billionaire company Elon Musk had repeatedly failed in its production goals for the model with which it wanted to conquer the mbad market. Several authorities are already studying whether Tesla has misled investors with its manufacturing projects. Tesla pointed out that no misconduct had been detected in these ongoing investigations. The SEC is targeting the year 2017.

Until last, Tesla fails to produce 3,000 Model 3s per week as expected. More recently, the company in Palo Alto, California, announced that it would start producing 3,000 vehicles a week at its new Shanghai plant. Musk signed an agreement with the Chinese authorities in July for the construction of Tesla's first factory outside the United States. With production there, Tesla wants to offset the disadvantages of China's recently imposed tariffs on US imports.
