What should the mid-range smartphone look like with Notch ⊂ · ⊃ CURVED.de

Apparently, the Nokia 5.1 Plus arrives: after HMD Global has already introduced the Nokia X6 with the company's first smartphone with Notch, a device with similar design will soon be introduced. An image appeared on the net showing the mid-range smartphone.

You can see the spread of the photo on the Slashleaks website in the tweet at the end of the article. One can see a smartphone with a notch – a recess at the top of the screen, which contains sensors, a front camera and speakers. However, there is a difference compared to the already introduced Nokia X6: The Notch of the so-called Nokia 5.1 Plus is much bigger.

A smartphone, two names

The smartphone on the image only has narrow margins around the screen. On the bottom edge is also the Nokia logo to see. Overall, the look also reminds a bit of the iPhone X – just because of the broad Notch. In addition, we still see that the edges of the Nokia 5.1 Plus are probably slightly rounded. Unfortunately, the picture does not tell us more.

In some areas, the Nokia 5.1 Plus could be marketed as Nokia X5: It was recently announced that HMD Global would already sell the Nokia X6 outside of China as Nokia 6.1 Plus. If this rumor is true, it is conceivable that the manufacturer of the X5 proceeds in the same way. Soon, we'll know more: According to GSMArena, HMD Global wants to show a new model of its X series on July 11, 2018.
