Why this passionate pizza pick-up will enjoy it | Automotive | sectors

Toyota has come up with a new concept against fast-food hunger, which should probably provoke the riot of pizza lovers. The marketing recipe is just as ingenious: pick up a hybrid pickup and pack a portable pizza robot on the crate. The fuel cell of the vehicle comes from the Toyota Mirai and drives not only the pickup itself, but also the equipment located on the loading area – that is to say totally devoid of Emissions, as the manufacturer points out.

One of the two robotic arms opens the freezer, places it on the oven conveyor and closes it.

The American food chain Pizza Hut, responsible for ingredients, is also part of the party. The robot pizza oven called Tundra Pie Pro was built by a division of Toyota. In addition to a refrigerator, two computer-controlled robot arms are located at the back of the truck. They make it possible to prepare the pizza and divide it into six small pieces.

The second arm of the robot has the task of cutting the pizza.

The process to finish a pizza takes only six to seven minutes. "Toyota has built many special vehicles over the years, but the technology used in the tundra has been a particular challenge," said Marty Schwerter of the Toyota Motorsports Technical Center (MTCI). The mobile pizza vehicle will be showcased at the Sima Special Equipment Show, which is currently being held in Las Vegas.
