There is not much to do at the moment, but according to a blog entry, Microsoft is working hard to give Windows Defender a feature – at least for now – unique. The program should be able to work with one of the next versions completely in a sandbox. It's anything but a trinket. In the past, security experts have repeatedly managed to execute malicious code by Windows Defender, damaging the system. Running the tool in the sandbox will have no effect on Windows 10 installed, but the malware would only be active in the sandbox. This feature will soon be available to all users of the Windows Insider version.
By the way, you can already enable the sandbox feature if you use Windows Defender. All you need is Windows 10 from version 1703. Start with the Windows key and press X to start Powershell. There you enter the following line:
setx / M MP_FORCE_USE_SANDBOX 1 and confirm the entry with the Enter key.
After that, you just have to restart Windows and the function must be activated.
If you want to disable them again, simply enter:
setx / M MP_FORCE_USE_SANDBOX 0 press the Enter key again, reboot the system and sandbox mode is canceled.
If the feature is enabled, you will also find that the MsMpEngCP.exe file is displayed in Taksmanager. If the sandbox was idle, you will see the MsMpEng.exe entry.
