The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi was the first manufacturer to officially announce the launch of a smartphone with 10 GB of RAM. With this, Xiaomi temporarily uses more RAM than any other provider.
Anyone who thinks that it is the new Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 with its virtually borderless screen and slider camera is wrong. A few days before the launch of the new flagship luxury brand, BlackShark, the game brand of Xiaomi, has unveiled an updated version of the game smartphone, available for several months now known as BlackShark Helo.

The BlackShark Helo brings a number of innovations, but despite the expansion of RAM, it is probably not considered large enough to allow a marketing change equivalent to that of "BlackShark 2". Externally, the device barely stands out from Xiaomi's first gaming phone, but there's a lot going on under the hood.
For example, in BlackShark Helo, you can install up to 10 gigabytes of RAM based on LPDDR4X, which is more RAM than the notebook with which this article is being written. The internal flash memory has a total size of 256 GB and can be expanded using the MicroSD card slot. No one ever offers more RAM. But there will also be versions with six or eight GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory.
The new addition to the memory expansion is also the BlackShark Helo installed on a 6,01-inch AMOLED LCD instead of an LCD, in which you want to provide, through a small extra chip, an HDR support for all content. The resolution remains unchanged at 2160×1080 pixels and therefore at the relatively high level often called FHD + in the 18: 9 format.
Two heatpipes provide cooling
The SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octacore with up to 2.8 GHz celebrates its return and is cooled here by means of two elements of the vaporization chamber. The camera located at the back consists of two sensors. The main camera works here with a resolution of 12 megapixels and aperture F / 1.75, while the second has 20 megapixels and an identical aperture size. On the front is a unique 20 MP sensor with F / 2.2 aperture.
The Xiaomi BlackShark Helo is also distinguished by its redesigned design. According to its name, the device also offers a $ 16.8 million color logo on the back. However, the optical adaptation to the game market drives Xiaomi, with two side cuts in the case on the top, which can also be illuminated by a colored LED.
The battery of the new smartphone BlackShark becomes very generous with 4000 mAh and can be charged quickly up to 18 watts with Qualcomm QuickCharge technology. Xiaomi has also updated the BlackShark smartphone controller. So you can use two to create a kind of complete gamepad. The Xiaomi BlackShark Helo is available in China from 400 euros, while the most powerful version, with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory, is offered at nearly 440 euros.
