TOWNSHIP OF CAMBRIDGE, Michigan. – Authorities are investigating the death of a 30-year-old woman at the Faster Horses Festival in Cambridge Township.
The woman has been identified by Michigan State Police as Melissa Donna Havens, a resident of Croswell, a town based in Sanilac County.
Michigan State Police said the woman was found at the Faster Horses Festival around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 17.
The cause of death is still unknown. The soldiers said an autopsy and toxicology test would be performed.
Michigan State Police soldiers are asking for help identifying a subject who was with Havens within 24 hours of his body being found. Police describe the person as a black man in his thirties with a short beard and wearing a gray hoodie.
