According to the authorities, a 14-year-old Massachusetts boy was mutilated to death by dogs that he regularly treated.

According to Bristol District Attorney Thomas Quinn III, Ryan Hazel was brought to the Dighton property by his grandmother at about 6 pm Thursday. She became worried when it took longer than usual to take care of dogs.

A neighbor went to the scene, found the boy 's body and called 911 around 8 pm. The owner was away.

At a press conference Friday, Quinn said that there were four dogs in the wild and seven at the kennel. He added that the free dogs were Dutch shepherds and Belgian malinois.

Quinn stated that Ryan, from nearby Rehoboth, had "traumatic injuries to various parts of his body".

The owner cooperates and the death seems accidental.
