The Medium gives us an overview of what PC gamers will need for next-gen gaming.

The Bloober team The way should be launched in less than 10 days. Soon players from all platforms will jump out of their seats with fear of the reality shifting game. However, some information released today by Bloober is more important for those looking to play the game on their PC. A complete and detailed list of PC requirements for The way has been released, and it shows exactly what players should have in their platform before launching the game in any quality.

Before getting to the heart of these specs, here are a few important things to keep in mind. First of all, these specs are all measured for gaming at different resolutions, but at a consistent frame rate of 30 fps. If you want to hit 60 fps or more, you will probably need to have a slightly more robust build than what is listed.

To run the game at its minimum settings, gamers will need something that isn’t that impressive. With a GTX 1650 Super or AMC R9 390X, you will play in 1080p. You’ll also need an Intel Core i5 6600 or any AMD Ryzen 5 processor. It’s also the only level of quality that allows gamers to get away with just 8GB of RAM to spare. Everything else requires a full 16GB kit.

Average PC requirements

At the recommended settings, things start to heat up a bit. Gamers will need a GTX 1660 Super or 6GB AMD RX 5600 XT to play the game at 1080p. While this isn’t the biggest jump in GPU power, the demand for raw processing capabilities is increasing quite significantly. At each quality above the minimum, The way requires an Intel Core i5 9600 or i7 9700, or if using AMD, a Ryzen 7 3700X.

Moving on to the ultra settings, things start to get really demanding. Keep in mind that these requirements for The way are for 30 fps gaming at 4K. Bloober Team recommends an 8GB RTX 2080 or RTX 3060 TI, or a 16GB AMD RX 6800. Once you get into ray tracing territory, those demands become much more on the Nvidia side. If you try to play The way at 1440p with ray tracing you will need at least an RTX 3060 TI or RTX 2080 8GB. If you are trying to push everything to the max and play in 4K with ray tracing, you will naturally need the RTX 3080. from Nvidia.

No matter how good you play the game or if you play ray tracing, the specs for The way claim that it will only take up 50 GB of disk space. That being said, you’ll probably want to store the game on an SSD for faster load times. The way to launch January 28 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S.
