The average price of gasoline in the United States has risen by 3.8 liters in the last two weeks to 2.91.

Lundberg Survey Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg explains that one of the reasons for the rise is an increase in crude oil costs.

Lundberg said Sunday that prices at the pump jumped 25 cents last month and 60 cents in the last 14 weeks.

The highest average price in the country is 4.04 per gallon in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The lowest average is 2.45 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The average price of diesel has increased by 4 cents over the last two weeks to reach 3.14.
