Avril Lavigne is half of a new celebrity couple. A source said Entertainment tonight that Lavigne and musician Mod Sun are dating.
“Working together has brought them closer together and Avril has a history of falling in love with the people she works with. She falls in love with them for their musical creativity and expression.” The source continued, “Her working relationships often turn romantic. Avril and Mod Sun have spent a lot of time together and got to know each other better.”
The two collaborated on the song “Flames”, which will be featured on Mod Sun’s upcoming album. “Many thanks to everyone who watched + shared this video last week!” Mod Sun wrote on an article on the project. “I’ve never made a song react this way + it’s really changing a lot of things in my world right now. Hard work pays off but more importantly dreams come true TR.”
In the past, Mod Sun has been hooked up with Bella Thorne, and Lavigne was the last with Phillip Sarofim, son of billionaire Egyptian-American investor Fayez Sarofim. Lavigne and Sarofim separated in 2019 after less than two years of relationship.
That year Lavigne said People that she would remarry “of course” but added “I don’t really care about that; I just care about being in a healthy relationship and just being happy.”
Mod says Entertainment Tonight Canada in January on how much he admires Lavigne and his music.
“Avril Lavigne has one of my favorite voices in music,” Mod said. “It’s so loud and confident, yet filled with unique emotions and inflections that only her voice can do.”
Lavigne added, “This song carries a lot more weight than it looks. There is a very deep message in it.”
