Away from home 'Holland Holland Star can dance, and you have to see it to believe it

One of the most important things (or the worst, if you are Donald Trump) about the internet is that old clips can surface at any time. It's hard to say why things become viral when: it has to be a combination of the trends of the moment and what people need to see. But whatever the reason, we were recently reminded of an incredible moment in the history of pop culture: the appearance of Tom Holland on Battle Sync Lip. If you have not heard, here is what you miss.

Holland is currently on a press tour

In case you come back from coma or are completely disconnected from pop culture, Holland has recently appeared in Major) movie called Avengers: End of the game. Almost immediately after the release of the film, Holland embarked on the press tour for Spider-Man: far from home, MCU tracking (/ Sony).

In addition to resume immediately after the events of End of Game, Far from home is a direct sequel to the movie 2017 Spider-Man: Homecoming. While promoting this film, Holland also did a lot of press, including participating in a reality show. Battle Sync Lip alongside his co-star, Zendaya.

A phenomenal day Battle Sync Lip

What happened that day was simply amazing. Let's start by defining the scene a bit. It's a show that has a lot of bad and mediocre performances. So no one thought that what was going to happen would be so incredible. But we knew it had to be better than most people: after all, both actors had solid experience in the performing arts.

First, Zendaya kicked off with a moving performance of Erykah Badu's classic "Tyrone". Holland then matched his jersey and chain with Nelly's "Ride Wit Me". Both were in order – then Zendaya released a thorny masterpiece with Bruno Mars's "24K Magic", in which she perfectly captured the performer's pace. How was Holland able to overcome this?

Here is the now infamous clip

It did not seem possible, but one way or another, Holland then exceeded all hopes. The actor put on the stage of a costume and a hat, a big umbrella, and pulled out a sophisticated footwork to the sound of "Singin 'in the rain". He even turned around a lamppost, just like Gene Kelly in the 1952 movie. It was very kind – but then something happened.

Holland disappeared behind a group of umbrellas and emerged when the music changed and leather dancers took the stage. The music played was Rihanna's "Umbrella" and, for the next minute and 45 seconds, he embodied it more than ever: he had become someone else. Honestly, my description does not do it justice. Watch the clip above or go to YouTube to see its full performance.

How does Holland know how to dance?

Although most of us know him as Peter Parker's adorable name, Holland has had a fairly varied career so far. He made his debut in London as a dancer and was engaged in Billy Elliot the musical at the age of 12, appearing in the series from time to time for nearly two years.

It was only a little later that Holland started playing on screen, and Captain America: Civil War in 2016 was by far his biggest role to date. Although we still love it in the MCU, this clip is, hopefully, indicative of what will happen to the skilled artist. The world will be better if the Netherlands dances more.
