Axios / Harris poll: socialism has defeated young America

Messages from Senator Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., And now from Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y., reach the young Americans – who will represent 37% of the electorate in 2020, according to Axios – and " is no longer a dirty word in America, once the heartbeat of capitalism.

Generation Z and the millennial generation more readily adhere to socialist politics than previous generations. In fact, 49.6% of young voters would prefer to live in a socialist country, according to a new Harris poll attributed to Axios.

This figure has resulted in 37.2% of American society as a whole, preferring to live in a socialist rather than a capitalist society, according to the survey.

Younger voters give more importance to universal health, college freedom and the abolition of ICE than the entire electorate, according to The Harris Poll.

According to the survey, the two youngest generations describe their three main voting problems of socialism and liberal politics compared to those of President Donald Trump and conservative ideals.

  • Generation Z – Mass shooting, racial equality and immigration / immigrant treatment.
  • Millennials – Health care, global warming / climate change and mass shootings.

Meanwhile, Generation X and the older ones consider key issues such as: access to health care, terrorism / national security and the national debt, according to the survey.
