As fans slowly get to know the contestants on Matt James’ Bachelor season, there are a few that are starting to emerge as precursors. One of them is Serena Pitt, who seemed to have a connection to Matt from their first meeting.
Serena hasn’t had much screen time yet (looking at you, Queen Victoria), but her moment is approaching. Here’s what you need to know about the reality TV star:
Serena is one of the youngest contenders this season.
Yes, she’s 22, making her the second youngest woman to compete for 28-year-old Matt’s heart. (The youngest contestant is actually Kit Keenan, aka the daughter of fashion designer Cynthia Rowley.)
His post-graduation work is … interesting.
Serena works as a publicist in Toronto, according to her manager Bachelor Biography. But, according to her LinkedIn profile, Serena has actually been an intern at Toronto-based advertising firm MacIntyre Communications since August 2020. She also works as a brand ambassador for a company called Cotton Candy Event Staffing.
She was a competitive dancer.
Serena isn’t much of an Instagram fan – or, at least, she wasn’t before the show started – but she has plenty of posts that reference her past experience as a competitive dancer.
Serena doesn’t mince words or play games.
Host Chris Harrison said in a YouTube video announcing this season’s contestants The single person that while Serena and Matt seem to “have this thing,” her frankness could be a sticking point for them. “She always tells everyone, including Matt, where she’s at, how she’s feeling, what’s the score,” Chris said. “Now will Matt hear that?” We will find out.
But she seems a little inexperienced in love.
Serena “never really took the time to seek true love”, she says Bachelor bio, “but now this typically logical thinker throws her rulebook out the window and is ready to meet the man of her dreams.” What exactly is she looking for? She wants “a man who will enjoy spending quality time with her, whether he’s having a beer in a low-key bar or sitting on the field at a Toronto Raptors game.”
Serena loves travel.
Or, at least, it was pre-pandemic. Serena has plenty of Instagram photos of herself in cool places including the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Budapest.
