“The Bachelor” settled for new lows in ratings overnight with Matt James’ season 25 debut on Monday night.

In Live + Same Day ratings, the long-running ABC dating show earned a rating of 1.3 among adults ages 18 to 49 and 5 million viewers from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. the previous record coming in 2019. This season premiere, starring Colton Underwood, drew a rating of 1.5 million and 5.1 million viewers. This season’s premiere is also down over 30% in the key demo and about 18% in total viewership compared to last season.

It should be noted, however, that the show will more than likely see a good increase in delayed viewing in the coming days.

Later on ABC, a preview of Craig Ferguson’s game show “The Hustler” opened at a low 0.5 and 2 million viewers, retaining less than half of its “The Bachelor” lead. Still, ABC led the night in the key demo with a 1.0 rating and finished second with 4 million viewers.

Elsewhere, NBC debuted season 4 of the game show “The Wall,” which drew a rating of 0.5 and 2.5 million viewers. This is a drop of over 40% in both measures from the Season 3 premiere of the series.

CBS and NBC are tied for second place in the night’s demo, with each network scoring 0.6. CBS was the first to view it, however, with 5.3 million viewers. NBC was third with 2.9 million. Univision came in fourth overall with a rating of 0.4 and 1.34 million viewers. Fox was tied for fifth in the demo with Telemundo with a rating of 0.3, but Fox was fifth in viewers with 1.32 million. Telemundo finished sixth with 971,000 viewers. The CW finished last with a 0.1 rating and 656,000 viewers, broadcasting only reruns.
