Now, the former NFL wide receiver is taking to social media to shed light on his split from Crawley, 39, after a brief social media hiatus.

In a series of Instagram stories on Monday, Moss, 32, noted that he finally felt “comfortable” talking about the situation after the split.

“I finally feel comfortable coming up here after having had time to deal with everything that is going on,” Moss preceded in the initial story. “I know a lot of you have seen me smile on social media and say that I don’t seem so hurt or overwhelmed by it, but it’s the furthest thing. This time it sucks. “

“Thank goodness I have the friends and family that I have had, because they literally had to carry me through the last couple of weeks and more,” continued Moss.

Moss confessed that the pressures of a public relationship were factored into the couple’s high-profile split.

“Building a relationship, in general, is difficult, especially when you’re doing it in the public eye,” Moss noted. “The media will take things and run with them. People will spread lies or always want to point fingers. But the point is, there is no one to blame in this situation.”

Moss continued, noting that every relationship has its “ups and downs.”

“Like any relationship, we’ve had its ups and downs and been through our own affairs. But the statements that were made did not come out of nowhere,” he continued, apparently alluding to the recent assertion by Crawley that being made aware of a “mutual” statement at the same time, “the public saw Moss’s initial announcement of the split last week.

“I love Clare and I respect Clare enough to let her know how I feel, even if it goes against everyone’s expectations,” he added.

Although Moss continued with a brave face throughout his stories, he did mention that it would take time for him to move on and regain some normalcy in his life.

Crawley posted a statement on Instagram regarding the breakup on Thursday, noting that “it wasn’t what I expected.

The reality TV star then reflected on the year 2020, calling it “one hell of a year.”

She said that in 2020 she was facing “severe anxiety”, the coronavirus pandemic, “balancing a new public relationship” and “slowly losing my mother” – circumstances that left her “impatient to see light at the end of the tunnel “.
