We don’t have too much time to wait until Back 4 Blood launches PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PC on October 12. It’s even coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch day. For now, however, it’s time to check out the game’s open beta.

For those who wish to participate in the Open Beta, Early Access will begin on August 5 and anyone who pre-orders the game will receive a code (see on Amazon). But that’s not the only way to get early access, as codes will also be available to anyone viewing the game on Twitch streams. Here’s everything you need to know and how to get into the beta.

How to access the open beta

If you want to play the Back 4 Blood Open Beta on August 5 when it starts, you’ll need to do one of the following two things. You can either pre-order the game or watch 1 hour of a Back 4 Blood Twitch stream when the Open Beta is live.

If you want to be right in the middle of the action from the get-go, we suggest you pre-order the game on Amazon, as the retailer won’t charge you until the game releases in October. This means you can still cancel your pre-order at no cost if you’re not a fan of the game after the beta.

When is the Back 4 Blood open beta?

Back 4 Blood early access beta will begin on August 5 at 12:00 p.m. PST / 8:00 p.m. BST. Early Access will end on August 9. After that, the Back 4 Blood Open Beta will restart on August 12 at 12:00 p.m. PST and end on August 16.

How to redeem your Back 4 Blood beta code

Using your Back 4 Blood open beta code is easy, here are all the relevant steps you will need to get into the beta ASAP.

  1. Create or sign in with a Warner Bros. account. Free games.
  2. Select Manage Account from the top menu (top right)
  3. Select account settings
  4. You will now see a “Redeem Code” section
  5. Enter your Back 4 Blood open beta code
  6. Select your region and platform of choice
  7. You will then receive a game key to use on the platform of your choice

Back 4 Blood Twitch Drops

If you are 13 or older, you can participate in the Back 4 Blood Twitch Drops to get a beta code. Here are the relevant steps you will need to take to make sure you get the code.

  1. Create or sign in with a Warner Bros. account. Free games.
  2. Connect your Twitch account to your Warner Bros. account. Games. Once logged in, go to “Account Settings” and click “Connect” to complete the link.
  3. Watch a Twitch streamer play Back 4 Blood content with Twitch Drops enabled for 60 minutes to gain early access to the Open Beta.
  4. Go to the Twitch Drops home page to claim your Drop.
  5. Claim your Early Access Open Beta code for the platform of your choice.
