Bad Religion will celebrate its 40th anniversary with Decades, a four-part concert series with each episode focusing on a different era. The group captured a live performance from a career set at Hollywood’s Roxy Theater last October and interspersed the footage with interviews and a look at concert rehearsals.

The first episode, which focuses on the band’s’ 80s music, will premiere on NoCap at 2 p.m. PST on December 12. Episodes focused on ’90s Girls and Teens premieres every consecutive week. After purchasing an episode, it will be viewable until January 5. The group will participate in live discussions at each premiere and will make unique products available.

“I can speak for the whole band when I say that we were so disappointed that we couldn’t tour this year,” singer Greg Graffin said in a statement. “It’s our fans and all those concerts we play every year that give Bad Religion the lifeblood. Decades allows new fans as well as those who were there early on to gain a rich insight into our entire career and witness changes in songwriting and performance styles at every stage of our evolution.

Earlier this year, the group released a joint autobiography, Do what you want: the story of bad religion, to mark the anniversary. The group intended to celebrate their 40th birthday with a headlining tour alongside the Alkaline Trio, but the coronavirus pandemic has ruled out those plans.
