Baldur & # 39; s Gate 3 could be under construction

Divinity: The home page of Larian Studios, the developer of Original Sin, has recently been modified and now displays the number three in Roman numerals gold, suggesting that an announcement of Divinity: Original Sin 3 could be imminent. However, there are signs that the studio is currently working on Baldur & # 39; s Gate 3.

Spotted by ChillRefill, a Reddit user, this morning, the modification of Larian's homepage has brought the Internet to dig as deep as possible and some, notably Kunken, discovered that the source code of the website refers to the "BaldursGate_logo_III_retouched.png" logo.

This discovery could indicate that the series originally developed by BioWare could well make its first comeback since Baldur's Gate: The headquarters of the Dragonspear in 2016.

IGN confirmed that the published source code is actually true.

This new potential would go against Larian's refusal last year, when rumors circulated that the studio would have acquired the Baldur & # 39; s Gate license. However, the strength of rumors has increased when Brian Fargo of InXile hinted that the game might be under development since he knew by chance who is working on BG3.

Baldur's Gate 3 would, in theory, be the sequel to Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, published in 2000 by BioWare. There have been many spinoffs and improved editions of the original two games, but this would be the first new numbered entry appropriate.

Larian definitely has the pedigree to take up this challenge because Divinity: Original Sin 2 has been very well received, including by us who gave it a score of 9.6 / 10, claiming that "with an incredible range of important choices, Divinity: Original Sin 2 will be remembered as one of the great RPGs. "
