Remember the high voltage software? We did not see them in a spell but they were behind some nice Oculus Rift exclusives like Dragon Front and Damaged Core. The team, however, makes its long-awaited return for the future Oculus Quest helmet.
The team today announced Ballista as part of the countdown series of Oculus's quest. In the game you have to protect a kingdom from the forces of evil. In your quest for victory (do you have it?), You'll use a magic mirror, a sling, and, uh, a unicorn horn. It will also be on Rift, with cross buying support.
We only have one featured image at the moment, which promises a pretty cute presentation. Given the pedigree of High Voltage (we once called Damaged Core, the king of RV shooters), we are hoping for something special.
"With Quest, we are able to provide a full range of motion to allow people to move throughout their playing area and impact the game," said High Voltage producer Keith Hladik, about the unveiling of the game. "Whether it's trying to defend your creatures from attack or walk around to analyze a castle, the game provides an immersive experience."
It is unclear whether Ballista will be a starter for Quest, which should be launched this spring starting at $ 399. We hope to get more details on launches in the coming weeks.
