A Baltimore high school student failed all but three of his classes in four years and nearly graduated nearly the top half of his class with an average of 0.13 GPA, according to a local report.
Tiffany France, the mother of the failing student, believed her son would graduate from the Augusta Fells Savage Institute of the Visual Arts in June. However, she was surprised to find out that he is sent back to ninth grade to start over.
“He’s stressed, and so am I. I told him I’m probably going to cry,” France told FOX 45 Baltimore.

France expressed frustration with school, asking why her son should finish three more years of high school after “school fails him”.
The son from France failed 22 classes and was late or absent 272 days in his first three years of high school. Only one teacher requested a parent-teacher conference, but France said this had not happened. Despite this, her son still ranks 62nd in his class out of a total of 120 students.

France says she has three children and works three jobs, and only realized her son was failing until February.
