OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson looked good as he returned to practice on Friday, putting him on track to start Sunday’s game against the unbeaten Denver Broncos.

Jackson had been sidelined for the past two days with back pain.

Asked about Jackson’s chances of starting on Sunday, coach John Harbaugh said, “He was a full participant today.”

Jackson moved well during the media viewing portion of practice and did not appear to favor his back at any time. He threw running, moved smoothly in the pocket, and even jumped in the air when an assistant threw the ball at him.

“I felt he looked really good,” Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown said. “He’s been doing well all season. He’s been precise. [I’m] glad he’s back in training. “

On Thursday, Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman said Jackson was facing “a little back push” and said he didn’t think it was serious.

Jackson faces one of the best defenses in the NFL in Denver. The Broncos allowed 8.7 points per game, the lowest in the league, and linebacker Von Miller was named AFC Defensive Player of the Month with four sacks.

It marked only the second time in Jackson’s four-year career that he had been sidelined for consecutive practices. He has never missed a game because of an injury.

The only other time Jackson was out for consecutive practices was last season, when he was sidelined with a knee injury and illness. He then hit his career low twice in a 27-3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

This season, Jackson has peaked in the NFL 44 times, including 12 times in Sunday’s 19-17 win over the Detroit Lions.

In three games, Jackson led the Baltimore offense, leading the NFL in yards per carry (7.2) and yards per achievement (14.4). He’s produced the league’s four best 20-yard runs and 14 passes from 20 yards or more, which ranks him fourth in the NFL.
