BALTIMORE (WJZ) – A ban on plastic bags in Baltimore is expected to go into effect in the city later this month.
The mayor at the time, Bernard C. “Jack” Young, signed the law on the global reduction of bags last January. The law prohibits retailers from giving customers plastic bags and will require companies to charge for other types of bags, including paper.
