Bandai Namco is working on an expensive game by Katsuhiro Harada

The surprises keep coming before the end of the year as we now know that Bandai Namco is working on an extremely expensive project. There were a few reports from Japan at the end of 2020, many of them stemming from a few different interview projects, one of them being from Games Talk who interviewed different high-profile developers on year their outlook for 2020. One of the names to remember is Katsuhiro Harada, the man who is currently the director of the Tekken series, as he revealed very briefly that he was working on a brand new project with Bandai Namco. Plus, it’s apparently expensive. Here is the quote.

“Well, honestly, I think this may be the most expensive development project in Bandai Namco’s history,” said Harada. “I think it’s amazing that the superiors approved this. Well, the approval has passed, it’s just that due to the coronavirus we haven’t really been able to get the project off to a good start. “

As to what that could be, your guess is as good as ours. The safe bet would be something Tekken related, but we don’t believe that’s happening at this time. The company is still living up to Tekken 7 and with a seven-year gap between it and the previous game, we’re guessing a new addition isn’t in the cards just yet. (Especially with the way the story ended.) Either way, the project is getting off to a slow start due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so we’re probably not going to find out much until we can. -be end of 2021 at the earliest. .
