Barbra Streisand opens up about her first date with husband James Brolin, admitting she laughed at her hair.
The 79-year-old actress, singer and filmmaker has been married to Brolin, 81, since 1998, but she opened up about their first date on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
She revealed that they were arranged on a blind date and her future husband was nothing like she expected.

“I was so shy that I walked into the house and went downstairs to be with the kids and play with them,” Streisand said.
“I expected a guy with a brown beard and brown wavy hair, like a mountaineer. And I saw a guy who had all his hair cut, no beard. And I walked past him. I put my hand in her hair and said, ‘Who messed up your hair?’ ‘
She said it took her “a few days” for her to fall in love with Brolin, although she added “he knew” right away.

Streisand was promoting her new album Release Me 2, with Fallon showing off a photo of her granddaughter holding the album.
“His mom gave him the album to watch Gammaw, you know. The oldest who is not even 3 years old calls me Gammaw, ”she added.
She added that most women don’t like being called a grandmother because it makes them too old, but she “loves it”.

She also spoke about her new album Release Me 2, which features unreleased songs throughout her legendary career, where she was the only female artist to have a number one album in six consecutive decades.
Fallon also revealed all of the different packaging for the album, which you can pick up at different retailers.
