Barcelona score against Real Madrid: Suarez, Messi and their company flee Los Blancos in the semifinals of the Copa del Rey

Barcelona advance to the Copa del Rey final after eliminating rival Real Madrid in Clasico on Wednesday. In the semifinal, with the first leg ending 1-1, the Barca entered the Santiago Bernabeu and scored all his goals in the second half for a massive 3-0 win, progressing 4-1 overall. Luis Suarez scored twice, Raphaël Varane scored his own goal and Barca reacted after a slow start to the game which gave Real the chance to take the advantage. Here are three takeaways from the match:

It was a missed chance by Real Madrid

Real really blew this one. They came in as underdogs, but the first half was clear except in front of goal. Real clearly dominated Barcelona in the first period and could have entered the division 3-0, and at worst, it should have been 1-0. Los Blancos created many opportunities but failed to finish, while Vinicius Junior missed a golden opportunity. Marc-André ter Stegen made some fantastic saves, but Real was frustrated in a match that he thought he could win based on the start.

Barca hangs, then bounces

In the first period, Barca did practically nothing in attack. It was hard to notice some of the stars playing because Real Madrid was causing them a lot of trouble, especially on the left side. During the entire first half, I've always thought that Real would score the first goal, but that's why you have to take your chances against Barca. But that was not supposed to be, and when Barca found the pedal, she did not give up. Going down mainly on the left side, with Dani Carvajal at the Real place, Barca scored three goals in 24 minutes.

Here is the winner of Suarez.

Suarez also scored a penalty "Panenka" to seal it.

The next big thing after Ronaldo at Real is Vinicius

Look, Real is not the same without Cristiano Ronaldo and they are not likely to win a trophy this season. It was by far the best chance of the team. But they have something to Vinicius. The young Brazilian might perhaps one day reach the level of a Ronaldo from what we saw early. He has incredible speed and footwork, he has a good understanding of the positioning and flair that captivates fans' hearts. Apart from Kylian Mbappe, he could be the most exciting young player in the world.

He surely has room to grow and he will have to develop his finishes, especially when he crosses the box diagonally. But the winner of the Golden Balon is inscribed on him, giving Real Madrid hope for the future.

Copa del Rey final

The Barca will meet Real again in La Liga on Saturday and Messi's team will move to the Copa del Rey finals on May 25 (broadcast continuously on fuboTV), where it will face Valencia or Real Betis. The two men meet Thursday in the second leg. Valencia went to Betis and got a 2-2 draw in the first leg.
