Attorney General Bill Barr has authorized a Justice Department investigation into allegations of “voting irregularities” – despite little evidence of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election, according to a report on Monday.

The Associated Press reported Barr’s decision on Monday night, but did not provide details on what the investigation would focus on or what allegations they would investigate.

President Trump and his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani have repeatedly made broad allegations of electoral fraud in a number of states, but have not provided any evidence to support their claims.

Trump has sued in a number of states he has lost to former Vice President Joe Biden or lags behind in the vote count as the last ballots are counted.

Biden secured his constituency victory over Trump in the 2020 election with his predicted victory in Pennsylvania and Nevada on Saturday.

Biden leads Trump in Arizona and Georgia and says he will have overthrown Democrat if he ends up triumphing in them.
