Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy told supporters on Wednesday that he “may” have been infected with the coronavirus, but announced a day later that he had conquered his illness.
In an update of his Twitter feed, Portnoy, 43, assured his fans he was no longer “sick of mother-father” after being bedridden for 40 hours.

“It did a little number on me for a day or two,” he said in his daily “Davey Day Trader Global” video.
Portnoy did not say whether he had received a COVID-19 test or given details of a diagnosis.
“Do you know what I did last night?” He asked. “I said ‘Scarpetta, give me 14 spaghetti.”

Portnoy cited copious amounts of spaghetti from Italian restaurant Madison Avenue, performance drink Gatorade, and Kit Kat bars as a remedy, but stressed he urgently needed watermelons.
In his previous videos, Portnoy appeared ill and had his head supported by a pillow. He told viewers that he had only eaten “one apple” the previous days.
His announcement sent shares of Penn National Gaming – which acquired 36% of Barstool earlier this year for $ 163 million – on a roller coaster ride. It plunged 1.2% and then rebounded.
“I guess Penn National, like, took the plunge,” he said, “after showing this video of my fucking face looking like Dr Death. Yeah, I look dirty and I can’t get out of bed. I understand, the corona is probably in my nostrils. “

The podcaster has started day trading since the pandemic led to the cancellation or postponement of spring sporting events.
Last month, Portnoy was invited to the White House and held an interview with President Trump, in which he admitted that the government infectious disease specialist, Dr Anthony Fauci, had made his “stockpile” in encouraging coronavirus-related lockdowns.
Portnoy did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
