Baseball player Kumar saves Vanderbilt season with 19-game draw

Vanderbilt sank 1-0 in the best duet against Super Regional Nashville against Duke. So they sent killer thrower Kumar Rocker to the mound to start the second game yesterday and asked him to save the season. Rocker responded with 19 strikeouts and a non-batter, leading Vandy to a 3-0 win.

Rocker, a freshman who missed a likely first-round pick in the MLB draft to pitch for Vanderbilt, was almost perfect. He walked two batters and hit another, but could not otherwise be touched. He made 131 shots, dominating Duke with a fastball in the 90% and a slider against which no one could play. Just look at these damn sites:

In the seventh inning, Duke was so desperate that they tried to break Rocker's concentration by letting a batter come out of the box before the attack and hold a bogus conference with one of his coaches. After Rocker hit that clown to end the round, he turned to the Blue Devils canoe and told them exactly what he thought of their cowardly crap:

By defeating the vile Dookies, Rocker launched the first player without a hitter in Super Regional history. Both teams will play the third game of the series this afternoon. Rocker will not be able to help his team in the decisive match, although it is possible that they will benefit from his powerful aura, which has certainly remained on the ground.
